Thanks for the quick response. I am not sure how to change the damaged heat shield. How is it attached to the lighter? There were no directions with the replacement heat shield. Thanks
its ok but very delicate. The top cover melts easily and replacing it costs (including shipping) about 30% of the whole lighter. Its a design flaw that could be addressed by providing the replacement that cover with minimal cost without trying to make profit on it.
Back in business
Glad to see Looft is selling this shield. I got distracted when lighting my grill and ended up melting the end of the shield (aluminum). The lighter still worked, but probably not great to use it without the shield.
Installation was pretty straight forward, even without instructions. Remove the screw holding on the bottle opener, the old shield slides off. Re-use the bottle opener and screw to install the new one.
Shipping was prompt.
